The procedures performed in the emergency department include:

• Stabilization of vital functions: Vital functions like breathing, circulation, and consciousness are brought under control.
• Initial intervention: Initial interventions are performed based on the type of illness or injury. These interventions may include oxygen administration, IV access, medication, bleeding control, and fracture immobilization.
• Diagnostic tests: If necessary, diagnostic tests such as blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasounds are performed.
• Specialist doctor examination: Patients are examined by doctors from relevant specialties, depending on their condition.
• Treatment: Medication, surgical intervention, or other treatment methods are applied based on the type of illness or injury.
• Observation: Some patients may be kept under observation for a period to monitor their condition.
• Discharge or admission: Patients are either discharged or admitted to the hospital based on their condition.

• Respiratory support: In cases of respiratory arrest or insufficiency, procedures such as oxygen administration, intubation (inserting a tube into the airway), or mechanical ventilation (connecting to a ventilator) are applied.
• Circulatory support: In cases of heart attack, shock, or bleeding, intravenous access is established to administer fluids and medications, and if necessary, cardiac massage is performed.
• Consciousness monitoring: In cases of loss of consciousness, the patient's consciousness is assessed and causes are investigated. If necessary, medication or other interventions are performed to prevent brain damage.

Diagnosis and Treatment:

• Rapid diagnostic tests: Information about the patient’s condition is obtained through rapid diagnostic tests such as blood tests, urine tests, ECG, and X-rays.
• Imaging: When needed, detailed examinations are performed using imaging methods such as CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
• Medication treatment: Appropriate medications are administered according to the type of illness or injury.
• Surgical intervention: Emergency surgical procedures are performed when necessary.
• Other treatments: Other emergency treatments such as wound care, fracture immobilization, and poisoning treatment are applied.

Specialist Consultation:
