Prof. Dr. Selim KAYACI is a physician recognized for his knowledge and experience in the field of neurosurgery, with a successful academic and clinical career.
Prof. Dr. KAYACI was born in 1964 in Rize. After completing his primary and secondary education in his hometown of Rize, he continued his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He graduated from this prestigious institution in 1988, earning the title of medical doctor.
After graduation, he fulfilled his compulsory service for 13 months in Nevşehir Kaymaklı and completed his military duty at Diyarbakır 2nd Tactical Air Force Command. He then began his specialization training in neurosurgery at the Ankara Emergency Aid and Traumatology Hospital Neurosurgery Clinic, completing this training in 1997.
Prof. Dr. KAYACI started his academic career in 2011 as an Assistant Professor at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery. He later earned the title of Associate Professor at Gazi University and was promoted to full Professor in 2021 at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery.
He continued his academic work with a doctoral degree, pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Anatomy at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Institute of Health Sciences from 2019 to 2024. He completed this training on February 28, 2024, earning the title of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Anatomy.
