Endovascular Treatment Methods

With my expertise in Neurosurgery, I would like to emphasize that endovascular treatment methods hold an important place in the treatment of nervous system diseases in modern medicine. These methods offer our patients comfortable and effective treatment options.

Endovascular treatment is a revolution performed with minimally invasive techniques (with small or no incisions) compared to traditional open surgeries. Thin tubes called catheters are inserted into the blood vessels to reach the target. This reduces risks such as bleeding, tissue damage, and infection, while accelerating the recovery process.

Accessing the aneurysm (ballooning of the blood vessel wall) via catheter and placing platinum coils or stents to block blood flow within the aneurysm.

Endovascular embolization (vessel occlusion) of the abnormal tangle of blood vessels (AVM) in the brain.

Opening blocked brain vessels via mechanical thrombectomy (clot removal) or medication (medical thrombolysis).

Opening the narrowing in the neck vessels (carotid artery) by placing a stent.

Areas of Interest in Brain and Spinal Surgery

The spine and brain are complex structures of our body, playing vital roles in many functions ranging from daily activities to our thoughts and emotions. Therefore, disorders affecting these systems can significantly impact our quality of life. My team and I are here to support you through this challenging process.

My Areas of Interest in Spine Surgery:

  • Lumbar and Cervical Disc Herniation: Surgical and non-surgical treatment options for pain and nerve compression caused by tears in the discs between vertebrae.
  • Spinal Canal Stenosis: Surgical interventions to relieve narrowing of the spinal canal that compresses the spinal cord and nerve roots.
  • Spinal Trauma: Treatment and stabilization of spinal fractures and other injuries.
  • Spinal Tumors: Surgical removal of tumors in the spinal cord and vertebral bones.
  • Scoliosis and Kyphosis: Surgical and non-surgical treatment approaches for spinal deformities such as curvatures.

  • Brain Tumors: Surgical removal of tumors originating from or around the brain, such as gliomas, meningiomas, and pituitary adenomas.
  • Brain Aneurysm: Treatment of balloon-like dilations caused by weakness in the blood vessel walls.
  • Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM): Treatment of abnormal connections in brain blood vessels.
  • Stroke: Treatment of paralysis caused by blockage or bleeding in brain vessels.
  • Head Trauma: Management and treatment of head injury cases such as concussion and brain hemorrhage.
  • Hydrocephalus: Treatment of abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid.
