Anesthesia:
Lower eyelid surgery is generally performed under local anesthesia with sedation. This allows you to remain awake during the procedure while ensuring a comfortable and pain-free experience.
Incision and Tissue Removal/Redistribution:
In lower eyelid surgery, an incision is made either along the lash line or inside the eyelid (transconjunctival). Excess fat tissue is removed or repositioned, and the eyelid muscles are reshaped if necessary. Any excess skin can also be removed if present.
Closure:
The incision is closed with aesthetic sutures. The stitches are made with special threads that fade over time and become less noticeable.
