Prof. Dr. Gök began his medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Faculty and graduated in 1985 with the title of medical doctor. He completed his specialty training in Pediatrics in 1992, and later completed additional specialty training in Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Rheumatology at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2000, earning expertise in both fields.
Throughout his career, Prof. Dr. Gök has worked at various important health institutions. He started his professional life as a Pediatrician at GATA (Gülhane Military Medical Academy) in 1998. Between 1998 and 2000, he further developed his knowledge and skills in Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Rheumatology at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Gök also has significant international experience. From 2002 to 2009, he conducted studies on Mesenchymal Stem Cell Treatment in Rheumatologic Diseases at the University of South Florida All Children’s Hospital in the USA, contributing to advances in this field.
He has demonstrated leadership qualities in both academic and administrative fields. Between 2005 and 2012, he served as the Head of the Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Rheumatology Department at GATA, making significant contributions to the development of pediatric nephrology and rheumatology services in the region. Additionally, from 2012 to 2016, he served as the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at GATA, gaining important management and leadership experience in the field of child health.
Prof. Dr. Faysal Gök's areas of interest and expertise in Pediatric Health cover two major specialties: general pediatrics and pediatric nephrology and rheumatology. These fields involve the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of various health issues in children from infancy through adolescence.

Pediatric Infectious Diseases: Diagnosis and treatment of respiratory infections, gastrointestinal infections, rash-associated diseases, and other infections.

Glomerular Diseases: Diseases affecting kidney glomeruli such as nephrotic syndrome, proteinuria, hematuria.
Renal Tubulopathies: Functional disorders of kidney tubules.
Urinary System Stone Disease and Nephrocalcinosis: Formation and treatment of kidney and urinary tract stones.
Urinary Tract Infections: Recurrent or complicated urinary tract infections.
Structural Kidney Anomalies: Congenital abnormalities of the kidney and urinary tract.
Cystic Kidney Diseases: Diseases characterized by cyst formation in the kidneys.
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): Progressive loss of kidney function.
Renal Replacement Therapies: Treatments for kidney failure such as dialysis and kidney transplantation.
Fluid-Electrolyte and Acid-Base Disorders: Imbalances in fluid-electrolyte and acid-base in children.
Pediatric Rheumatology
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA): Chronic joint inflammation in children.
Juvenile Behçet’s Disease: Vasculitis characterized by recurrent oral and genital ulcers, eye and skin inflammation.
Rheumatoid Arthritis: An autoimmune disease causing joint inflammation (rare in children).
Ankylosing Spondylitis: An inflammatory disease affecting the spine (rare in children).
Kidney-Involving Vasculitis: Inflammation of kidney blood vessels.
