Graduating in 1992 from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine with the title of Medical Doctor, Prof. Dr. Ceylan subsequently began her specialization training in Internal Medicine. During this specialization at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital, she gained clinical experience and developed fundamental knowledge and skills in internal diseases.
Turning to an academic career, Prof. Dr. Ceylan was appointed as a Faculty Member in Endocrinology and Metabolism Diseases at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. During this period, she conducted intensive studies in endocrinology and metabolism diseases, provided education to students, and contributed significantly to the academic community through scientific research.
Starting in 2009, Prof. Dr. Ceylan served at the Endocrinology Clinic of Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital, where she specialized in diagnosis and treatment of many endocrinological disorders such as thyroid diseases, diabetes, obesity, and other hormonal disorders.
From 2014 to 2022, she worked as the Head and Faculty Member of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism Diseases at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Medicine. In this position, she continued her academic work and contributed to the further development of her expertise in endocrinology by guiding students.
After completing her medical and specialty training, Prof. Dr. Şenay Durmaz Ceylan specialized in internal medicine, especially in endocrinology and metabolism diseases. Throughout her career, she gained both academic and clinical experience by working in various health institutions and universities.
